How do you take your coffee?

If you drink coffee, you are probably very particular about how you take it. Most of the time, I drink Bulletproof coffee, which I described in great detail in my newsletter. Prior to discovering Bulletproof coffee, I enjoyed adding some half and half or heavy cream.

When I was traveling for work, I found that hotel rooms would offer “non-dairy creamer” packets for coffee. I admit that I have used such powders in the past to avoid drinking black coffee. Once I scrutinized the ingredients, I gave up using these powders, and you’ll soon learn why. First, here’s the packet.

The first thing that jumped out at me about this packet is it reads, “ALLERGENS: Milk.” Wait a minute. This is supposed to be a non-dairy creamer. How is milk a possible allergen?

Let’s take a leisurely stroll through the minefield of ingredients.

  • Corn syrup solids are 100% percent glucose, in other words, SUGAR.
  • Palm Oil that is cold processed is a good source of fat but should be consumed sparingly. It’s high in polyunsaturated fat, and palm oil is controversial due to its negative environmental
